This section of the collection consists of gifts that represent the North Korean materials acquired by the Oriental Institute in 1958 from the Academy of Sciences of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The majority of these gifts feature content from the 1950s, particularly in the post-Korean War era. These materials were utilized by several North Korean students who, as common in the 1950s, pursued their studies at various educational institutions in Czechoslovakia.

Tuto část sbírky tvoří dary severokorejských publikací získaných Orientálním ústavem v roce 1958 od Akademie věd Korejské lidově demokratické republiky. Většinapochází z 50. let 20. století, zejména z období po korejské válce. Využívali je i někteří severokorejští studenti, kteří, jak bylo v 50. letech 20. století běžné, pokračovali ve studiu na různých vzdělávacích institucích v Československu.
