One of the early acquisitions of the institute is a set of books on History of the Meiji Era, which was a gift from the Japanese-Czechoslovakian Association. It was acquired by the institute in 1932. These 15 volumes were published from 1926- 1928 is about the fiscal policy in Japan during the Meiji era.
