The Oriental Institute houses an Avesta manuscript, one of approximately 300 such manuscripts dispersed worldwide. This particular manuscript is attributed to Mobed Rostam Darbar Framroz, with "mobed" denoting a Zoroastrian priest. The author explicitly states that he penned this manuscript in 1810 in the city of Mumbai, located within the Indian state. Notably, this manuscript encompasses not only Avestan text but also features Neo-Persian and Gujarati colophons, accompanied by page numbering using Gujarati numeric symbols.
